I thought they were releasing it all at the same time to pull people in. Echo is a very little known about character with her only other appearance being in Hawkeye. So instead of drawing it out people can binge it and hopefully not lose interest.
The consensus is that if you release all the episodes at once, you lose "cultural capital" from people talking about your show week in week out, hence the pivot away from that model over the last few years even by Netflix who popularised it. The pessimistic part of me thinks that releasing it all at once means they expect it to be badmouthed and want the bad PR out of the way as quickly as possible. I see your logic, but I think it's a bit of a stretch.
I definitely get that logic but at the same time I'd argue that Fisk alone could've been enough of a connection to segue from Hawkeye to the Daredevil show. Hoping this show is good nonetheless.
To be honest I think if they recast Kang they will just straight up not mention it. Avoids the awkward questions. Is there a one-line explanation in Avengers 1 about Norton->Ruffalo? I genuinely can't remember, but it would help my point if there wasn't.
Don't think so but they joked about it in She Hulk with Ruffalo saying he wasn't the same person or something
I think the difference is that there's an opportunity here to work a recast into the story completely naturally.
I think they can do it, it's more a question of whether they should. I'm the kind of person who finds it irritating when on Doctor Who an actor comes back and they say "oh that person before was my cousin" or something. People understand that actors can play multiple roles and change sometimes! Not everything has to be lore! And yes I am complaining about lore in the MCU thread and I forgot where I was going with this.
Disney is gonna own it outright next year so it makes sense that they’re gonna start blending the two into each other
The last thing they were accurate about was parroting NWH leaks that were already all over reddit lol
MTTS was correct on a number of Love and Thunder, Wakanda Forever, and Quantumania posts. It's just that a lot of their info comes from concept art and that stuff, especially in the wake of Covid, doesn't always make its way into the films. How they would know anything about Kevin's thoughts is beyond stupid, tho
