Bittersweet though. Really hope Gunn can replicate what he did with Guardians on the DC side of things (which I think he has done with Peacemaker and The Suicide Squad), but we shall see with the current leadership in place. Movie had so many funny, tender, sad, and awesome moments, and none of it felt cheap or forced (at least on my first watch). Mostly sad we will never get Bautista as Drax ever again.
I think i pretty much always enjoy the weekly drop model. I like having something to look forward to.
GOTG3 was one of the rare moments where the final act in a trilogy hits hard and is a step up from the two that came before.
GOTG3 is leagues better than 2 but it is not better than the first civil war also isn’t better than winter soldier ragnarok is the best third movie of any of them
Ragnarok no contest for best of its trilogy… having followed Thor 1 and The Dark World, woof. Ragnarok decent shot for best third film overall too but I gotta go with Civil War (feels unfair as it’s basically an Avengers film)
I wasn’t saying Civil War and NWH were better than the films in their trilogy, though I’d argue they are. I was saying Civil War is the best third act in the MCU trilogies. Followed by NWH. Ragnarok is up there too but Thor is no longer a trilogy.
If we’re including all third films then Infinity War Civil War No Way Home Ragnarok Gotg 3 Iron Man 3 Antman 3
I figured it would be safe to say that Ant-Man and Ironman would be bottom two for everyone. Guess not though.
