For those keeping score at home, that means half a year passed between Eternals and that newspaper in She-Hulk.
I’d imagine something like that would be cycling in the news for quite a while so I can’t really fault it
Well yes, but I was more playing devil's advocate for the people who are wondering why the MCU isn't mentioning it. Although I guess it's also entirely possible that by the time some of these films happen, people wouldn't be talking about it as much. Maybe that's the answer. Maybe we just skipped over that period of time where everyone would be talking about it.
People that wanna complain about it would complain either way, if they talk about it it'd just be "they should be used to crazy stuff like that" and of course now it's "why is nobody talking about it" Anyways didn't we establish that it's going to likely be the plot point of one of these upcoming movies? Or was that one of the million unfounded CBM rumors that get made up on the web lol
Why do we keep posting these? EDIT: Like, not asking in a mean way, but it seems like we're only posting them now to talk about how inaccurate they are. Wouldn't it be better to just not talk about them?
You’re not wrong. I’d usually only post them when they seem like they could be real because it could bring up some interesting discussion even if it’s bullshit, but in this case it’s just so ridiculous that I couldn’t help but bring attention to it. Same with Justin posting the Alfonso one. These leakers are just getting insane with the strikes going on and posting anything for clicks. I know I’m not helping in this case, I just think it’s funny
It's sad how devalued the MCU brand is. If after Infinity War you had heard they offered Endgame to Cuaron it wouldn't have sounded as ludicrous as it does now.
Yeah I don’t think Cuaron would’ve ever not sounded ludicrous. It’s not his type of movie. The only reason he did Harry Potter was because Del Toro teased him into it.
Also, and this not meant to be a knock on the MCU, but I'm sure some could see it that way, but I don't think they'd ever offer an MCU film to someone established like that unless they were absolutely willing to play ball. Even if an MCU film has no connections to the other films, it still has to sit neatly in the universe and so corraboration with other people involved in the films is a must. Not saying Cuaron wouldn't, I don't know him, but I have to imagine someone who is already used to doing their own thing and doing well doing it would balk at the idea of having to compromise anything. I dunno, I could be wrong, I'm just here formulating opinions about people I've never met.
I’m very tired, so maybe this is all on me. But it did mean something. They all went to the wedding that day.
Yes, that was actually my point. I assumed the first tweet was implying it meant something MCU-related. Which it didn't. Unless I misunderstood the first tweet.
The first tweet is paired with a screen shot saying an A-lister is getting married. I don’t think it was intended to imply MCU business.
Maybe. I made an assumption on the intent based off of it being posted in this particular thread, and it's probable I made the wrong one. Kind of curious what that one screenshot is, actually. What is Deuxmoi and who was that person predicting a wedding?
