I recently did a MCU rewatch with my wife who hadn’t seen most of them.

Our collective take - didn’t hate dark world as much as I previously did, really liked the OG captain America movie, iron man sequels felt pointless, black widow felt 5 years too late, captain marvel was a miss, guardians is somehow the best trilogy.

 

I remembered the first Thor fondly for some odd reason. It was so bad during my rewatch last year and there were a few times I wanted to turn it off.

I have come to appreciate/enjoy Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, Captain Marvel, and Eternals more.

 

Loki is good, Hawkeye is enjoyable, Ms.Marvel/Moon Knight are tolerable. Everything else is bad.

Edit: forgot Werewolf By Night. That was fantastic.

 

Good: Loki, WandaVision, Ms Marvel, Moon Knight, Hawkeye
Fine: Secret Invasion, She-Hulk
Bad: What-If, Falcon and the Winter Soldier

I’ve only seen the second half once or never (hulk) and don’t really have strong opinions. Top 5 is pretty accurate and the. The next ten are mostly in good order.

 

Some of these ranked lists are wild to me, lol. Maybe I’ll make my own top ten later (without using a ranking tool that’ll make me choose between Incredible Hulk and Quantumania).

One thought I have is, funny that I like Thor: Dark World more than seemingly anyone else. I wouldn’t argue that it’s secretly great or an interesting failure, but I have more fun with it than most other middle-of-the-road Marvels. Its worst sin is making Malekith, who’s a delight in Walt Simonson’s Thor comics, rather dull. But, it scratches just enough of my “Thor the superhero is rad” itch to entertain me in a low-stakes blockbuster way. Lots of “better” Marvels I’d be less likely to throw on in the background.

 

Is it that surprising? I think the record has shown that what you look for in your comic book adaptations is a little different than a lot of other people. Not saying it in a bad way, just that it's obvious.

Seems like most people are ranking Infinity War, Endgame, Winter Soldier, Civil War, Iron Man and No Way Home in their Top 10 which is nice to see.

Also seems that most lists have Love and Thunder and The Dark World in the bottom 5.

Might as well extend it to Infinity War while you’re at it.. unless you’re just saying 4 movies, in which case I’d say Homecoming to Infinity War is better
