Apparently they don’t plan on even mentioning it until the thunderbolts film. I wouldn’t mind if they just never reference it again. Just pretend it never happened tbh

 

Is there a set in stone timeline of all the movies that have come out since? Because I feel like they’ll be like “chronologically the events of Eternals took place after XYZ”

 

Eternals takes place shortly after Endgame - early to mid 2024. The only projects that take place before it are WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Solider, and possibly Shang-Chi.

 

Shang-Chi took place before for sure.

Anyway, I double-checked and there was a very brief reference to the Celestial in She-Hulk. A headline mentions it, basically.

I'm going to just assume that in-universe, it hasn't been mentioned by anyone because there's a story happening regarding the people who are dealing with it that we haven't seen yet, and the people we have seen haven't had a need to comment on it or deal with it.

 

I feel like it doesn’t need to be explicitly mentioned because the people living in the world where a Norse god tried to invade NYC, a sentient robot tried to cause a mass extinction event, and an alien deleted half of your friends before they came back 5 years later, and a bunch of people having super powers fought them all, etc etc etc probably have just kind of learned to accept the giant thing sticking out of the earth now.

 

yeah except all those things are still mentioned constantly i.e. “the attack on me york” “the sokovia accords” “the snap” etc etc no one is like “weird hand and face guy”

 

When Chernobyl was on fire again during the pandemic, I mentioned it every day for like three weeks.

If a giant dead space god was just sticking out of the ocean idk how I’d talk about anything else.

 

They should put you in the films, so we can settle this discussion.

Rumors are now that Swift will appear as Dazzler in DP3. Not too far fetched due to her friendship with both Ryan and Blake

For a second I thought this meant she was rumored to play Apocalypse, and I thought, "checks out".

 

It was due to her being in a BTS photo with Kinberg and McAvoy, I think.
