Its a shame to see Marvel fumbling the bag not getting a sequel out for Shang Chi sooner. The character and Simu himself both deserve better imo. Tbh I just want to see him in SOMETHING, even just a cameo or supporting role. That was the last time I really liked one of these movies or any of the newer characters. But he still hasn't even had a cameo or even a mention in any other movies or tv shows has he? Would suck to not see him again until Kang Dynasty or Secret Wars but that seems to be where we're headed.
Meh, I don't think Simu deserves better Simu Liu's Alleged Old Reddit Account Is Why You Should Never Post But I am bummed because I liked the first movie a lot.
I mean, first, there's a strike going on. Second, don't we want Marvel to slow down and take their time for the sake of the people working on these things? Third, why do people keep taking anything the actors say at face value? We know they not only lie, but have to lie, so why not just wait for official announcements?
Well this is news to me. I honestly dont really follow this type of stuff too closely anymore so my bad for missing it I guess. Just liked the movie is all.
1. Yes Im very aware of writers strike that has been going on for 2 months now. Not what I was talking about. 2. Yes of course slowing down is great. Everyone behind the scenes deserves more time/resources/money to do their jobs with less stress. I was only thinking of how it would be many many years between solo movies for the character I like. That is all. 3. Speculating can be fun. I dont see the harm in it tbh. I personally don't take things actors say at face value. Just thought it was weird they're taking so long to do anything else with that character.
anytime someone wants to critique simu, it's always digging up reddit shit from like a decade ago, and ignoring he also simply wasn't very good in the movie
I only saw it the one time opening night and I didn’t think he was that bad and quite liked him. Maybe I need to do a rewatch without the blinders of the opening night high.
Yeah, I don’t really jump on the Simu hate train because of comments he made about researching a role nearly a decade ago. Over 3/4 of the article is basically an opinion piece. r/aznidentity is certainly a toxic place but I wouldn’t say everyone that ever commented on it shares a hive mind thought on every social issue. The guy certainly has his insecurities and get easily get defensive, but I wouldn’t consider him to be problematic.
I watched that documentary about him and they show so many clips from his appearances on Monday Night Raw and I’m just like wow WWE must really hate that lol
I watched Batman Begins last night and was reminded just how much TDK and TDKR could have benefitted from a little more Crane
truly hilarious. i remember leaving the theater and saying to my wife "how tf are they gonna handle that?" and they just did not
