Huge blow to my hype for the show. Doesn't give me much confidence especially with how bad MCU content has been lately. Glad they're at least bringing back the Punisher I guess.

 

Time to go picket Marvel Studios.

I really don’t see Marvel recasting Karen and Foggy. I think the characters are just not in a place for this story, but we’ll see them in the future.

 

I hope they give them room to come back, Deborah Ann is such a great actress so it’s their loss.

 

I mean, seeing as they involved Matt with Jen, I’m not surprised they wouldn’t bring Karen back.

 

This calls into question whether they're really picking up from the Netflix series or not, because at the end of the Netflix show, Foggy, Karen, and Matt were all ready to continue their law practice together. It's hard to imagine them just leaving that thread dangling if they're really serious about considering that canon.

 

I think they're picking up Born Again from the Netflix series in the same way Infinity War picked up from Age of Ultron.

Infinity War is an Avengers film just like Age of Ultron, so technically it's the follow-up, but many years and events have passed which leave the characters of Age of Ultron in different areas or out of the story entirely.

IIRC, Daredevil season 3 took place in either late 2017 or early 2018, so we're looking at around 8 years passing in the MCU.

 

Also, maybe the particular story they are telling doesn’t have room for them in this run but maybe there’s potential if the show continues after
