Yeah, the first Spider-Man film is the least enjoyable. Such a slog. The second has Doc Ock, the third is ridiculous in a way that makes me laugh, and the ASM films have a good lead, but SM1 was so rough when I last revisited it.
And Iron Man 2 is one of the least enjoyable comic book films I've ever seen. IM3 is held back by Ike Perlmutter's meddling but still has some Shane Black charm to make me love it.
I tried to revisit it last year, and man, it was worse than I remember. I'm typically in the camp that views even their worst films as alright and watchable, but that's the biggest exception to that rule, lol.
That Trevor reveal is part of why I love IM3. Such comedic goodness. If only Ike Perlmutter hadn't kept Shane Black from having a female villain, which probably would've been Rebecca Hall's character in one more twist.
IM 3 was better than IM2, but that's saying very little. I liked IM 3 a decent bit in theaters but it hasn't held up.
Iron Man 3 is good. Despite the Mandarin usage, it's really fun. I love the fight scenes feat Tony out of his suit
ALSO, concerning GOTG2 end teasers i love LOVE that they made "Stan Lee is actually a Watcher" officially canon. i laughed so hard and pretty much everyone around me had like no reaction/probably had no idea who that was.
Exactly. I think he works for them, but... they either messed up or whatever he is exists outside of time, or the planet jumping goes through time. He mentions being a delivery guy, which happens in Civil War in 2016. But this movie takes place in late 2014. So either he time travels, or exists out of time, or they forgot their own timeline.
