Everyone I can think of offhand is either announced or strongly rumored. Like Wonder Man is getting a D+ show and Nova's been in the cards for the longest. I would say Silver Surfer, but he's so FF-adjacent that it's hard to count him. There's Jessica Drew's Spider-Woman, but she's in Sony's playground so I doubt we'll see her in the MCU. Ghost Rider, depending on if the iteration in Agents Of SHIELD is canon or not. Oh yeah, I forgot about Squirrel Girl and the New Warriors. Shame that series never made it off the ground. There's also Blue Marvel... Machine Man... this guy...
I would've mentioned Captain Britain if not for two reasons. A, he's the brother of Psylocke, which makes him X-Men adjacent. B, I strongly suspect Captain Carter is technically filling that role.
Didn't they mention his real name in passing as a tease in Endgame during the 1970's time travel scene?
I thought of some! Ka-Zar and Shanna the She-Devil. Give us Savage Land in the MCU Also i was going to say Man-Thing but he's rumored for the Halloween special.
I didn't say Ka-Zar for two reasons: Savage Land makes him X-Men adjacent, and he's also kind of obscure.
Either way Savage Land in MCU would be dope. Also he's not that obscure. He's not anymore obscure than say Black Knight. Also we haven't gotten some Hulk-centic characters either (have a feeling that might change soon): Red Hulk, Skaar, Maestro.
Though y’know, there’s probably a zero percent chance they ever have Betsy Braddock as Psylocke (even though she had the name first as a white woman). The branding is fully associated with the psychic ninja, and now that Kwannon’s a thing, they’ll just do that, which is the right call.
I mean, they can have both. They can do whatever the hell they want, really. Also, don't both of them still exist in the comics anyway?
Black Knight is also obscure. I mean, when you ask what the biggest names that haven't been adapted yet are and your first answer is Ka-Zar, we're starting to root around in the barrel. Don't get me wrong, I understand Ka-Zar has been adapted in a lot of X-Men media and is at least a character that has been present in the eyes of the most obvious fanbases for these movies. But I mean, there was a time when Iron Man was considered a B-lister to the public. No one in the general audience is going to know who or what Ka-Zar is. That's what I mean by obscure.
I mean GOTG was pretty unknown to all but diehards prior to their movie, now they have theme park rides and shit. if you would have told me that that in 2008 when i was reading the Abnett & Lanning run i would think you were lying. Same with Eternals. So yeah we're at the bottom of the barrel for familiar names to the mainstream, but not names they they can do something with.
Betsy sure is still out in the comics… …but she’s not gonna be Psylocke unless Marvel Studios are stupid. Just like how Carol Danvers went straight to being Captain Marvel, except more so ‘cause Asian Betsy is a non-starter and white Psylocke is weird branding. If I had to guess, I’d say Kwannon will come on the scene as the Psylocke people remember from the 90s. Maybe even be on the first X-Men movie roster? Since she’s iconic and basically hasn’t been used yet. And then Betsy will probably be part of a Captain Britain series, with an arc that goes straight from the Marvel UK stuff by Alan Davis, Chris Claremont, Alan Moore, etc., to the modern Tini Howard take (minus Krakoa, plus some aspects of 80s-90s Excalibur). Which, if there’s not room for Warren Worthington III in their X-Men movies or like an X-Factor series, since he’s rich & so are the Braddocks, he could always show up there, too.
The way they are doing both is Kwannon is Psylocke and Betsy is Captain Britain. Brian is Captain Avalon. If they did Excalibur, then I could see them bringing in Betsy, but I doubt she will ever be Psylocke.
Wakanda Forever is the last project in phase 4 IIRC, so phase 5 either starts next year or in December (depending on if they're counting the Guardians holiday special)
