I can see why that would be pitched, because it would be very thematic and emotional, plus also I'm sure it would be advantageous from a reality point of view, but I'm glad they didn't do this, for the reasons cited in the article.

It would be way too much to handle, both for the audience from an emotional perspective, and for the writers as a storytelling venture. Six major deaths is not something you unload all at once. Even Game of Thrones wasn't that vicious.

With the way hulk and thor have been treated they were probably better off dying in endgame. Hawkeye is the only original member that has been given respect post endgame
