I mean, it's no worse than the CGI of Spider-Man's suit and those movies rake in a ton of money. This really doesn't bother me
She-Hulk was always going to look a little off in live media because of how human she looks. Basically a tall person painted green with a few exaggerated features.
That Wakanda Forever trailer is the best one Marvel Studios has ever released. I’d love it if Ryan Coogler weren’t spending so many of his vital filmmaking years at Disney, but if he’s enjoying himself while elevating a couple of this omnipresent studio’s obligatory projects, good for him. As “a movie,” though, nothing outside of Wakanda Forever and Guardians 3 speaks to me. Life’s too short to spend that much of it (especially in my mid 30s) staring at a screen with a Kevin Feige production.
One of my friends want to watch the films and catch up but has never watched a Marvel film. I tried to make a condensed list of films to catch them up without needing to watching them all. Does this list seem good? Infinity Saga: 1) Iron Man 2) Captain America: The First Avenger 3) The Avengers 4) Captain America: The Winter Soldier 5) Guardians of the Galaxy 6) Avengers: Age of Ultron 7) Captain America: Civil War 8) Doctor Strange 9) Black Panther 10) Avengers: Infinity War 11) Avengers: Endgame Multiverse Saga 1) Loki 2) Eternals 3) Hawkeye 4) Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
You're missing Shang Chi. Not to mention a lot of D+ that will probably become relevant sooner than later.
I told them to watch Shang-Chi mainly because it’s good, but the events in the film don’t seem to be leading towards Kang or the multiverse. I thought of including Ms Marvel and Moon Knight, but I’m still not sure where those will lead other than Young Avengers and a possible Midnight Suns. Loki and Hawkeye are already on the list so that’s a lot to watch.
You're not wrong. It's too early to tell where any of this is going, and will or won't matter in the long run. Shang ending up on the radar of Bruce and Carol makes me feel his role will be more relevant than we think though.
The Ten Rings showed up in Ms. Marvel, too, so I wouldn't be surprised if there's something brewing there for The Marvels next summer.
Maybe recommend movies based on what’s good, instead of what’s going to “matter” to some overarching “narrative”?
Then watch them all, I guess; whatever. If you really care that much… literally everything has something that ties into something after it (or will). So, just hit everything in release order. And, if you don’t feel committed enough to do that, then pick & choose what’s most appealing to you, personally. You can choose literally any films to skip and still have a good enough idea of what’s going on to be fine.
You guys have no idea how many comments I almost post and then stop myself. Mentioning this for absolutely no reason at all.
Was hoping the terrible bootleg of it would get it dropped. But you can't hardly see anything in the bootleg so maybe not haha.
Before infinity war and endgame, I only ever saw iron man 1 and 2, both guardians movies, and black panther. I was not lost at all in those movies. So I agree with Tim in that you don't need to watch all these movies to really understand anything but also agree If someone has the time and wants to spend the time on all these, that works too.
My friend who asked for the list wanted to watch the films specifically to catch up to what’s going on now, so that’s why it’s based on the narrative and not necessarily the quality.
You can find the audio on some Reddit pages and the conversation between Kang and Scott is pretty intimidating. There is a camrip of GOTG3 floating around as well.
