Dark Reign (in which the villains essentially take over the Avengers/SHIELD after the events of Secret Invasion) seems like where they're going with the Thunderbolts stuff.
There is also Secret Empire, where an elderly Steve Rogers is seemingly restored back to normal but is revealed to be a HYDRA sleeper agent and does battle with Sam Wilson and Bucky.
Also it’s pretty funny people think they’re gonna run out of comics and then close up shop. At some point they may just…write a movie? Lol
I hope not. Feige's attitude to Spider-Man was to focus on things people haven't seen, and I hope he carries that with the X-Men as well. There are too many X-Men stories to waste time retreading the Phoenix for a third time.
True, there’s plenty to work with but with Chapek running the ship, I can’t be too confident that they won’t.
Once X-Men are formally a part of the MCU there is enough huge story arcs there that could make 15-20 years worth of movies alone. MCU has lasted almost 15 years just using a fraction of Marvel's roster as a basis. They're about to get a whole wide world of comics to adapt with X-Men and Fantastic Four.
You all know that when they do run through everything a decade or two from now they'll just do a continuity reboot and start over again
Comic-Con 2022: Marvel's Kevin Feige Reveals Biggest Lessons Learned from Phase Four (Exclusive) It sounds like moving forward Avengers films are going to cap off a saga and not each phase, because the phases are now happening with more frequency.
Some very awful footage from the antman trailer is out. a split second of MODOK. And some fun Kang dialogue
Simon Kinberg sitting around at Fox trying to persuade Feige that this time he'll get it right trust me bro
I agree that we will probably see Avengers Vs X-Men in Phases 7-9 as a mid-way event movie. I’d bet Galactus is coming as well. Depending on how heavy into the mutants they go I think Mister Sinister and Apocalypse are likely as well along with a host of events they can do.
the Annihilation events. they've barely touched the cosmic side of things, though some pieces are being put in place, like the Celestials in the Eternals, Eternity in Thor L&T, Adam Warlock in GotG 3, not to mention the F4 and all the stuff they can do with Galactus, Franklin Richards, etc.
Surprised that Nova was not announced. I feel like some announcements that will include castings are being saved for D23 Deadpool with Reynolds returning Werewolf by Night with the actor formally being announced Nova with a casting (rumored to be Ryan Gosling) Mutants with some castings, but only a handful Maybe F4 castings although F4 being given a release date at SSDC could be due to the film already being announced
What cosmic stuff would you expect them to touch in the new feature. I’m looking for some runs or series that are focused on the cosmic side of things to read lol
