I just like that one of the first MCU movies they did was basically a period piece. I mean, it's not like it's not an obvious tack to take, but it's just interesting to me that they did it.

 

Honestly, The Winter Soldier retroactively made me like First Avenger more. The MCU didn’t nail Cap until TWS and they did it in such the perfect way that it recontextualized cap 1 and avengers 1 for me.

It was a good origin movie that was true to the source material. It made me want to pick up the comics.

 

I forgot how much of Iron Man 3 is Tony Stark not being Iron Man.

But more with the suit, cause you know, the suit is what's made of iron.

Some of the suits at the end fall a part as if they are mere iron

The Extremis plot in Iron Man 3 is all very dumb, but the Extremis stuff all looks super cool and creepy.

as far as Iron Man movie villains go i got to rank it:
1. Justin Hammer. I don't think any MCU villain in the movies had more fun with their role than Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer in Iron Man 2. I hope he reprises the role in Armor Wars or Ironheart.
2. Aldrich Killian
3. Iron Monger
4. Whiplash

Kingsley as fake Mandarin was also fantastic and one of the best performances in 3, but not sure i'd consider him a villain. Like Rockwell he also clearly had so much fun in this role. Glad he had a chance to reprise that character in Shang-Chi.

I can’t think of any comic characters that would fit him. Some are speculating that it’s Mr Negative, although he is Chinese. Lee has played Chinese characters before so, sure.

I wouldn’t hate him for Osborn. One good way to not get bogged down with Willem’s interpretation would be to race swap him, imo.
