I was trying to think of what the CGI She-Hulk reminded me of and it just came to me. It reminds me of Sigourney Weaver's Avatar. Can't really explain why, but it puts me in mind of that.
I mean, the CGI isn’t amazing but it also looks fine? Like I dunno how else they could do it, guaranteed people would complain if they had a giant ass lady in bright green makeup too.
She-Hulk's CGI was always gonna be a stretch for a TV show unless they just had her be normal Jennifer for the vast majority of it. Hulk looks fine for the most part though (guessing they're reusing assets from Endgame for him)
Y’all are too hard to please. Like I know most of you grew up in the 90’s, you know better about CGI.
It looks fine, I understand it’s not amazing but considering the subpar CGI on shows across the board, this is decent tbh.
Phase 4 has had it’s fair share of bad CGI, but the bad CGI here is for the titular character. That’s why it’s sticking out.
It's definitely noticeably worse on She-Hulk than Hulk or Abomination, but that has to be because they're using Endgame and Shang-Chi assets. Either way, I wasn't as bothered by it as some people seem to be. Looks like a fun series to me.
Marvel Studios Signs Deal To "Resurrect" Stan Lee Through Digital Technology And Archival Footage Not a good idea
Can’t wait for this show to come out and this whole thread is full of people wailing like spider monkeys with broken arms about the CGI. Ditto Ms. Marvel while I’m at it.
Holy fuck. Outside of the inherent grossness of digitally recreating dead people (which should be enough to make this a terrible idea), the company that they made the deal with is also an awful, shady company. If I remember correctly, they were the one that took advantage of that senile man in his final years. That great Stan Lee biography from last year goes into it. Shameful all around.
The Stan Lee thing is disgusting and horribly unnecessary. The cameos were fun and everything, but there is absolutely no reason to work this hard to keep them going. If they wanted to have a holographic Stan Lee at a Disney park, that's still creepy but at least relatively understandable. But the fact that they specifically also mention the films tingles my Spider-Sense.
Just because CGI looked fucked a decade ago doesn’t mean we should accept fucked CGI now. Disney is an unfathomably massive and successful company it’s absurd that their main character looks like they’re from a ps4 wrestling game also yeah that shit about Stan Lee is fucked
