I actually like her new powers. It’s cool that her powers will look similar to the hero she looks up to.
On the subject of Ms. Marvel's new power set, and my earlier observation about the bracelets: I did a little reading, and the bracelets are actually the Nega-Bands, which in the comics were worn by the original Captain Marvel, Walter Larson. So while I do lament the loss of Kamala's Inhuman ties and origin, I do like that they used this as an opportunity to entrench her further into Captain Marvel lore, better tying her into the hero she's trying to emulate.
Everyone saying they changed her powers because of Inhumans or Reed Richards, but my first thought was they changed he powers because Teddy Altman is debuting in the MCU soon.
to be completely honest I couldn't remember what she did in the final fight in Endgame but I really wanted to make a Hawkeye joke forgive me
I mean they definitely changed it because stretching powers look awkward on a feature budget, let alone on a tv budget.
Absolutely, it’s shocking in a small, weird way yo see these graphic adult moments on a platform named after Disney.
I’m so glad that they moved these over to Disney+ - the completionist in me is amped haha. Give me more Daredevil please - inject it in my veins Barney Gumble style.
Not understanding Tenet and thinking Captain Marvel is just an average movie are pretty much agreed upon lol Not really sure if “based” is the word but the usage of the word is as confusing as Tenet.
I think it's because if you look at the full picture, she also gives Spider-Man 3 four and a half stars and says it is "unironically great".
I’m going through her reviews because why not. She gave the Nathan For You finale five stars. Amazing.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige explained that they hired Raimi for the movie because they "want it to be a Sam Raimi movie." He adds, "We would give notes like, 'This action is cool – you’re competing with Avengers and Spider-Man, no problem – but don’t forget the Sam Raimi parts.'" Most intriguing, though, was the promise that, "You will see just how Sam Raimi it is, in ways that will make fans of Evil Dead II very happy." DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS: Kevin Feige Says Movie Will Make EVIL DEAD II Fans "Very Happy" Glad to hear that Kevin and Marvel are letting Sam Raimi do his Raimi things. I'm guessing Kevin is hinting at the film having a weird horror type of comedy similar to that in Evil Dead II. Or maybe Bruce is playing Ash.
I kind of feel like that statement about Evil Dead II is the kind of thing that would mean more coming from Raimi himself than from Feige. I'm looking forward to it either way, but just sayin'.
If there’s not at least one scene as cool as the hospital scene then I’ll leave a bit disappointed. Raimi making a Dr Strange film is a golden opportunity that shouldn’t be missed.
