A little bummed about the change-up with her powers, but it looks fun.

 

It looks fun. Her powers seem identical to Green Lantern in this show, which as someone who never kept up with her comics, doesn't bother me.

Still doesn't make sense that she would be looking up to Captain Marvel considering that character has barely spent any time on Earth since the 90s.

Maybe they’ll pretend she spent the majority of the 5 year time jump from End Game on earth and only went to space towards the end?

but like you have people in the real world that "look up" to fictional characters, I'm not sure it's much of a stretch having Kamala look up to Captain Marvel

you misunderstood. It’s not that looking up to someone like Danvers is unlikely, it’s that she is (based on what we have been shown) not a public figure the way the avengers are because she has barely been on earth.

The trailer looks cute and I'm interested to see how this show turns out and if all that fantasy squiggle writing is literally how this show is going to be.

I'm curious how Kamala gets her powers in this. It looks like she gets some kind of bracelets? Am I interpreting that correctly? And if so, I wonder if this ties into Shang Chi's rings at all?

 

If the worst thing the show does is change up her powers, then I’m sure it’ll still be very good, but changing Kamala to having the energy Green Lantern thing is still so lame IMO. I do really like the style in that first 30 seconds or so when Kamala was daydreaming. That could be a pretty fun recurring thing

 

I'm going to enjoy this. The power change is kind of jarring but I get that she can't be Mr Fantastic when he is on the way.

 

Looks good. No idea who is the villain is.

Blinding Lights playing during the trailer added a good vibe.
