It looks like either Sony or Disney did a bait-and-switch with the Sony characters joining the MCU. I’m not sure who made the final decision, but Hardy’s Venom going back to the Sonyverse makes it pretty clear that there will be separate universes.

I don’t see Sony keeping Morbius out of future films even if his solo film tanks given their currently small roster. Best case scenario is that Leto doesn’t join the MCU.

 

I'm in a weird place where I don't really care about Leto but I want Morbius to be good because I want more weird obscure characters to get a shot at a film and I feel like Morbius is a temperature point for that.

 

Maybe Blade and Moon Knight can convince people that obscure and weird characters can do well

That is if Morbius tanks.

He’s also full of undeserved ego. Listening to him speak in any 30 Seconds to Mars interview made me want to never listen to the band.

Apparently there’s a debate on Twitter happening about whether the MCU Magneto whenever it happens should be a holocaust survivor since they’re already into the mid 2020’s and he’d be old or if they should keep the spirit of the story but update it for a more modern time period.

Id prefer they keep that part of his history but curious what ya’ll think.

 

I think Magneto being a Holocaust survivor is extremely important for reasons even beyond it being a core part of his character, but you're also right that it would be impossible to do with the MCU as it is now unless Magneto comes from another universe.
