I think it would be odd for him to be a straight out hero, but if he comes back he will probably still be bitter about not having throne.
I just think it would be better to leave his story where it ended, personally. I also think a story about M'Baku trying to unite his tribe with the rest of Wakanda, and having to battle his own people who believe he has abandoned them, would make for a more logical story. It would also line up with the statements we've heard about how Black Panther 2 is focusing on the people of Wakanda and internal Wakandan concerns. Also Winston Duke rules.
I still can’t believe Boseman passed away. Obviously I loved his performance as Black Panther, but all fan-boy stuff aside I’ve never been so effected by a celebrity death. He just seemed like such a pure soul and it’s a reminder of how cruel and unforgiving this life can be at times.
Yeah it really does bum me out that we're not gonna get T'Challa and his Black Panther anymore. He was so good for it.
I think they should use the Wakanda TV show to look at the process of finding a new Black Panther. I’d be more than down for a political themed Wakanda show, showing the inner workings of a country in mourning and how they deal with finding a new BP/King and what has happened since the Blip
M'Baku taking the mantle does seem like the most logical thing to do. Shuri just needs to be the wiz person that creates things. It's not as fun if one person is both the wiz and the BP.
Sidenote, I really hope we get something Shang-Chi related during the Super Bowl. The film was originally going to be released next week.

Very nice. The watchmen show was written well. 'Watchmen' Scribe Stacy Osei-Kuffour to Write Marvel's 'Blade' Movie (Exclusive)
selfishly I kinda want Kaluuya's character to become the next Black Panther not because it makes any narrative sense, it doesn't. but because Kaluuya fucking rules and they barely used him in the first film
He was also surprisingly absent in Infinity War which makes me think it had something to do with his contract. Maybe he didn’t care to return?
He was so good in his relatively small Black Panther role. I personally would prefer to see him avoid franchises but he can definitely do well in them.
We’re only getting two commercials at the Super Bowl. A Falcon and Winter Solider full commercial and a Disney+ montage. No commercials for theatrical films.
To the Black Panther conversation, the real right answer for what they should do is "whatever Ryan Coogler, a filmmaker I trust, wants to do in order to make the best version of this one movie he can." Based on current characters on the board & where they're at, I kinda feel like either M'Baku or Ramonda taking over leadership of Wakanda for now, Shuri beginning a character arc that'll culminate down the road into being ruler (like Thor's, without chickening out at the end), & Killmonger staying dead probably makes the most sense? Maybe there's a new character from the comics' world of Wakanda he could bring in for that ruler position instead, like someone from Ta-Nehisi Coates' stuff. Could still end up with Shuri wearing a Black Panther suit for action by the end without being a queen or whatever yet. But, again, whatever story Ryan Coogler wants to tell matters more to me than whatever "who with be the MCU's 'Black Panther' going forward!?" surface level speculation.
That’s looking least likely with the lack of promotion. On one hand, Shang-Chi is not a popular IP so a theatrical release may be best, but if the film is just going to sit there for another year then ehh.
Haven’t really seen any chatter about Okoye potentially becoming Black Panther but I think that could be a solid option
Oyoke would be cool to see in a BP suit, but her leading the Dora Milaje seems to be a straight path for the character. I also feel like she'd turn it down for the sake of keeping tradition.
