It’s not about one medium vs another, though Into the Spider-Verse was certainly a more interesting piece of visual filmmaking than any live action comic book film I can think of. But, no, it’s about story. And, Into the Spider-Verse actually told a very compelling story about Miles Morales finding his own voice & place, which the multiverse played into thematically. What’s the hook for Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, & Andrew Garfield spending a whole movie together? I'm sure someone could find one. I’m not confident the people who made Homecoming & Far From Home can.
At this point I'm okay with a dumb, fun action flick with some fan service. I don't expect anything amazing from Watts anymore, so bring on the Spidey cameos.
I’m sure Watts, Feige and Sony could figure out a story worth telling when it comes to Tom’s, Andrew’s and Tobey’s characters. I’ve enjoyed Homecoming and Far From Home the same, if not more, than Into the Spider-Verse, but as I already stated it’s mostly because I prefer live action to animation.
Into the Spider-verse is great. Homecoming is also great. One good modern Peter film and one good modern Miles film. Win-win for me.
Wrong thread lmao but...cool. A different Buzz I’m guessing? edit: nvm. I looked over the Feige mention
The sheer number of D+ shows feels a bit over whelming. But I guess they all appear to only be like six episodes a season? So shouldn't be too hard to still watch everything. (granted, once you throw in all the star wars shows, and all the animated disney and pixar stuff it still becomes overwhelming again but hey that is a complaint for a different thread)
Guys, we've already seen them get hit by cosmic rays. They gotta change it up! So Reed got his powers from the Thanos snap and modified Stark tech to give Sue, Johnny, and Ben their powers
