I mean in an infinite realities situation, wouldn't there be one where everyone in this thread is an Avenger and this is our main hub for discussion? And WE are the ones fighting Godzilla.

Could be, but I’m just joking along with the fact that Marvel released 24 issues with Godzilla existing within their universe.

I think there is a 0% chance of it happening in SM3 but if bringing in Charlie Cox also brings in Fisk...

A Spider-Man/Daredevil teamup against King Pin could be so cool

If something like that was teased in the post credits scene, I wouldn't be able to stand up for a good hour or so after it ends.

Maybe he'll travel through a wormhole and see different people fighting on something like a tv screen.

    Spiderman: Back to School

In a clear homage to Back to the Future, Spiderman, on the run from authorities and heartbroken and fearful for his friends and family, contacts Dr Strange for assistance with running, who explains to Peter there’s a wild, new concept called the Multiverse that he’s not quite sure about, but investigating. In a mishap that transports Peter to a similar, but parallel universe, Peter must now find his way back home with the help from some unlikely sources, including Doc Ock, who was trying to find his own solution to the Multiverse theory!

The only bummer is I just can't picture Marvel sticking to the grittiness of the original show, but hey, if they're still sticking with Deadpool...

I guess the more “solo” film Feige mentioned after Far From Home would have focused on these characters...

I don’t doubt that Sony is into the Spider-Verse idea. But, that feels like pretty baseless speculation, especially given how this would fit with the ideas in, or rumored to be in, Doctor Strange (which was announced while the Sony/Marvel negotiations were still in limbo), WandaVision, Loki, & probably Ant-Man. Feels to me like multiple parties involved probably wanted this.

All we know about Jon Watts’ take is that he’s mentioned Kraven as a character he wanted to use. Between him, Sony, & Marvel, I’d put the least stock in this starting with him... but, at the same time, he’s the one who proposed FFH, specifically because he saw someone in a costume on a roof overseas during the Homecoming press tour. Not hard to picture him seeing the animated Spider-Verse, or some fan art, & then following that whim, lol.

Yeah I buy this for sure. The multi-verse stuff has always felt like it had Sony's fingerprints all over it. Shades of their failed rushed Sinister Six-iverse since the rumors started coming in.

Just a theory on this guy's part but hopefully it pans out so at least this movie won't be a studio-meddled mess.

    Perfect scenario:

First 2/3 of film is Peter getting help from DD and fighting against Kraven/Scorpion.
Last 1/3 of film focuses on Strange assisting with only cameos of legacy actors.

Spider-Man 4 is the live-action spider-verse and Sinister Six battle.

    Assume It's A Bit

Yeah my initial thought was definitely that Tobey and Andrew were JK Simmons-esque cameos as a post-credit scene or something

Knowing Marvel, they'll just have MCU Spider-Man stealthily take the place of a dead Peter Parker in another reality to get around Mysterio outing him.

He can go to a universe where their Peter used the Infinity Gauntlet and then all the fanboys can rejoice that Tony Stark is alive.

Yes I'm joking, and yes that would be terrible, but it's also totally on brand xD

I just... don’t really need a full live action Spider-Verse film (beyond some fun cameos or whatever). At least not in the “three semi-traditional Peters teaming up” kinda way. There was a specific surprisingly effective thematic purpose to the Spider-Verse in the animated film. You can’t have the same legacy, origin, find your own voice kinda narrative for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man as you did for that animated Miles Morales.

I’m sure there is some way to make something like that work. But, especially after Far From Home, it’s hard for me to have that kinda confidence in this team to attempt that kinda story.

I wouldn't want anything more in the MCU than a live action spider-verse. Anything to see Tom, Andrew and Tobey interacting with one another. I'd always choose live action over animation when it comes to stuff like that. Seeing them interacting in person rather than just hearing their voice would be ideal.
