I’m sure there are some sort of conversations happening about something happening like that somewhere at some point... but, I feel very confident at this point that Spidey 3 is not a Spider-Verse story, lol.
Marvel just needs to come out and confirm all castings that have been made this year. Enough of this.
That news was reported by all of the most reliable trades. I'm betting she is, but can't say it because it's not technically announced/official.
Wonder if it’s just that she’ll be Hulk’s successor and just “Hulk” and not “she-hulk” then she’s not lying by saying that’s actually not a thing
Another thing is that the showrunner, director, and Mark Ruffalo all congratulated her after the news broke. It's all but official.
That seems awfully early to show anything, especially when looking at Marvel/Sony's marketing of other films, and it's coming as hearsay, so I'm not sure I totally buy it. I'll definitely be the first to watch it if it does come to fruition though!
They already started filming, and it doesn't matter when they are able to have a teaser, it's a matter of when a studio feels like starting a marketing push. And for some reason I don't see a studio wanting to begin marketing a year out from release, when the current state of theaters isn't exactly ideal. Especially when said studio isn't known for putting teasers out that early anyway. If it happens, I'll be happy, but I'll believe it when I see it.
A teaser a year ahead of release is common for big releases. Given that the film has been delayed twice Sony probably just wants to release something ASAP to keep things moving.
Sure, it's fairly common for Warner Bros films, but as far as I know it's never been done by Marvel Studios, and has very very rarely been done by Sony. Marvel tends to drop their first teaser/trailer about 6 months before the release date. Sony rarely drops them a year out, even for their biggest movies. Spider-Man: Homecoming teaser: 12/9/16 (7 months before release date) Venom teaser: 2/8/18 (8 months before release date) Spider-Man: Far From Home teaser: 1/15/19 (6 months before release date) Morbius teaser: 1/13/20 (6 months before release date) Venom 2 teaser: NONE (8 months before release date) Again, I would be happy to be wrong, I just don't see it happening.
This lays the groundwork for mutants already existing in the MCU...and HYDRA (as well as Shuri) being somewhat aware of it. https://screenrant.com/mcu-quicksilver-scartlet-witch-mutants-hint-explained/
"It means mutants have existed in the MCU all along" Good "all it would take is the right burst of cosmic energy to trigger those latent X-genes - and that could already have been provided, courtesy of the various snaps seen in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame" Gross
Nerds: “Where do mutants come from in the MCU?” Me: “They’re people born with the X-gene, which gives them mutant powers.” Nerds: “Yeah, but where have those people been?” Me: “Doing their own thing off screen.” Nerds: “Yeah, but-” Me:
I feel like every time I think about this, my idea for my dream X-Men film gets more & more refined, lol. Pretty much always start with wanting Jubilee, Storm, & Callisto to be the main characters the story revolves around. Sometimes I consider choosing Kitty over Jubilee, as long as they lean into her being both Jewish & queer, but my 90s heart always ends up back at Jubilation Lee, lol. I think one advantage Jubilee has is that she’s an orphan runaway, which works very well with the Morlocks. (And, Morlocks are a perfect concept to explore in introducing mutants to a pre-established world.) You can put her in an orphanage or foster home with ties to a (not yet openly militant) conservative group called the Purifiers, making that part of why she runs away. Kitty’s traditionally healthy family dynamic doesn’t hit the same themes as well, imo. I imagine the X-Men being a small operation that initially doesn’t have the school aspect. I’m picturing just, like... Professor X, Storm, Wolverine, Emma Frost, & Forge? Maybe drop one or two of those characters & throw in Scott & Jean, though I wouldn’t mind giving them their own separate spinoff series with some other classic X-Men instead. The Morlocks should obviously be led by Callisto, who clashed with Storm to form the film’s central conflict. But, other than her, I envision the prominent Morlocks being a bunch of younger, weirder mutants (including many not tied to the Morlocks in the comics). Have Marrow & Maggot, plus Beak & some other Morrison-era weirdo students. Jubilee’s Generation X comic teammates included some weirdos who could work well, like Chamber, Skin, & Penance. (Speaking of Gen X, Emma Frost was in that series, & also Morrison’s New X-Men... just sayin’, lol.) So, like, have Jubilee run into these Morlock kids (maybe initially online?), & have these fellow mutants be who she runs to when she runs away from her toxic home environment. Find some way for her to already know Storm (and/or Logan) before running away, so you can have that thread of Storm & Callisto butting heads over where she belongs. Which, would make a great replacement for the Xavier/Magneto dynamic we’ve already nailed twice & don’t need again yet. The movie ends with Xavier & Storm deciding to open a mutant school, which takes in the kids from the Morlocks who are willing to sign up. And, as part of the opening, Xavier decides to publicly come out as a mutant & have one of those “we’re here to stay” speeches. Boom. The X-Men.
