Kinda glad they finally got an unknown to play a superhero

 

I can't even find anything on her except for the fact that she is playing Ms Marvel.

They went real unknown with this casting.

I mean, is there a teenaged Pakistani-American girl that is a household name in the States that I just don’t know about? Seems like this was always going to be a relative newcomer if they were gonna accurately case the character.

 

It's absolutely not unheard of for a big studio to disregard something like that in favor of getting a bigger name. They made the right call, but financially speaking it is a risk

 

Imagine your first film being a Marvel superhero. Insane.

She definitely has the goofy silly kid look going for her which aligns nicely with the source material.

I think, and I’m taking a stab in the dark here, that Marvel/Disney can afford a risk like this.

 

Baffled that they haven't introduced or even announced a Nova project yet.

 

Same with Adam Warlock, although they may be waiting for Guardians 3 first considering the post credits scene of the last one

According to this article the actress for Kamela is Canadian. That’s all I can find on her

Need NOVA, so surprised they didn't introduce any Nova after they introduced the corps in GOTG.

 

I mean, we have a ridiculous number of characters already either in the universe or confirmed to be coming very soon. We’ll get a Nova or two eventually, I’m sure.
