Or, maybe just tie one movie together? Just a thought, lol. But, yeah, team-ups are cool. That’s the advantage of this universe they’ve carved out for themselves. They can pick any group of characters & ask, “what’s a cool story to tell with these characters?” Then, do it again with another group of characters. Don’t overthink it & risk the event exhaustion & diminishing returns of event comic crossovers.
I definitely think Marvel need to be mindful of which “big bads” they can be using as Avengers/multi-film threats and spacing them out. I had certainly imagined Kang could be one of those, so I hope they don’t waste him.
Yeah that’s what I’m tryin to say. Let the movies be their own thing but if there has to be a big bad let’s wrap it up after 2-3 movies
Geraldine Viswanathan is the front-runner for Kamala Khan. It's a little odd being that Viswanathan is neither Pakistani nor Muslim. She did get praise for playing in Hala, so maybe it's her typecasting.
That would be more than a "little odd" and also, uh, not great. That's venturing hard into "all brown people are the same" territory. And given that Kamala's Pakistani and Muslim heritage is an enormous part of her identity, casting someone not of that background would be pretty horrible.
Also with Kang being confirmed, they better be getting that Fantastic Four movie going for Phase 4. (let's get Yahya Abdul-Mateen II for Reed Richards, he can ditch DC for Marvel)
I mean, there's enough time between the present day MCU and the time Kang is from that Reed Richards doesn't necessarily have to also be black, but why not. He doesn't have to be white either.
I don't disagree with you. The fan-casting for Krasinki is just strong to the point where there will be inevitable complaints if he isn't the actor Marvel chooses. If Marvel chooses to follow the comic path of Kang being a descendent of Reeds. With FF coming It would be a missed opportunity if they don't.
Definitely won’t be phase 4. All of this will be taking place in phase 5. 4 ends with Doctor Strange 2.
Uh, we don’t know when “Phase 5” starts since they’ve only revealed the first portion of what is ostensibly “Phase 4” content so far. And that’s even if they still stick to the Phase delineation, which they might not anymore.
Everything revealed could just be part one of Phase 4 right now, but Marvel has always announced an entire phase, start to finish, at the initial announcement. If movies like Captain Marvel 2, Black Panther 2 and Ant-Man 3 were apart of the fourth phase they would have probably announced them with the others back at comic con 2019 with the rest.
I'm unfamiliar with her work but excited to see other people excited for her! Can't wait for this show to get made
