Apparently the Hawkeye show has been delayed indefinitely. The source comes from Murphey's Multiverse, so we'll see.

 

Wouldn’t be surprised given all the yikes-inducing stuff we’ve been hearing about Renner recently

 

Marvel is also reportedly waiting for Hailee Steinfeld’s schedule to open up similar to how they originally pushed back Doctor Strange for Cumberbatch

 

The sources say it’s delayed because of Hailee Steinfeld having a busy schedule. Nothing was mentioned about Renner.

 

Ah, well, guess I should’ve known better than to think it would actually be about Renner

 

The good news is that it basically confirms Steinfeld will be Kate Bishop

 

Tbh not really too keen on seeing it now knowing what we’ve heard about Renner

 

They should just drop Renner and have it straight up be Kaye Bishop just stealing the Hawkeye name. Doesn’t she start off doing it without Barton’s blessing anyway in the comics?

I wanted this show so bad, but honestly Renner was never going to pull off the Hawkguy from the Fraction run, which turned him into my favorite Marvel character.

 

They could easily just have her take a photo with Renner and have the picture mounted somewhere for a quick two second shot. That way audiences will know.

 

Yeah, Clint died in Avengers Disassembled and doesn't come back until after House of M, Even then, he isn't really present at all in the larger scheme of things until after Civil War. Kate started using the Hawkeye name during that gap as a way of honoring him. She did, however, have Steve Roger's blessing (which is inarguably more valuable lol)

 

She can get Hulk’s blessing in the MCU. That would be cool.

 

What did Renner do?

 

Him and his wife both argued to each other like high schoolers and Renner gave some low blows. There are also reports that he bit his daughter or something but nothing has come out to prove that unlike him just being a bad husband.

That and I read something about him doing drugs with underage women at some point

 

Weren't there reports that Renner shot a firearm in his house or something?

 

I don’t recall seeing that in the texts that surfaced but it’s been since they surfaced that I read them.
