what if they owned martin by casting his daughter in one of their films wouldn’t that be funny lol I dunno, are we ever gonna move past this?
There was no way Disney was going to let Deadpool languish without doing at least one more. They make too much profit. Going to be interesting to see how they integrate him into the rest of the MCU, if at all. Some kind of meta joke where whenever he’s in a crossover movie he gets bleeped, or something like what happens in The Good Place when the characters try to curse, would be funny.
People at the lecture said Kevin was referring to an LGBT character in general appearing in a film soon, not specifically a transgender character.
I mean, that's kinda how I'd understood it, too. Though, for how good Feige normally is at playing the PR game, it's unfortunate that his vagueness here turned into viral social media excitement over progress that isn't actually happening yet. But, really... If you're putting out what'll soon be 4 films a year, plus multiple shows under that film studio's banner, how hard would it be to cast, like, Jamie Clayton or whoever in a prominent role somewhere?
That’s such a bummer. It definitely seemed like it was going to be more horror feeling and they didn’t want that
Willing to bet Disney/Marvel didn’t want it to be too deep of a horror film so Scott decided not to direct. Won’t be surprised if it’s delayed now. It was supposed to start filming in March
