My understanding, and it's flimsy at best, is the Inhumans were pretty low tier until Marvel decided to push them instead of the X-men since they didn't own the movie rights to the X-men, and if that financial reasoning didn't exist Kamala would have been a Mutant
Rumors I've seen suggest that they're only ditching Nuhumans. The Inhumans/Royal Family will still be a thing, but will be more of a cosmic franchise. That way they can keep the potential Inhuman-Mutant conflict on the table for later down the line.
i have absolutely no stake in this and don't really understand why it matters what term they use, as long as the underlying story is true to the absolutely brilliant character of Kamala, which this seems to be that being said, it is probably the last nail in the coffin of ever seeing Quake or Fitzsimmons in the mainline mcu and that is a bummer
Not necessarily. Or at least if anything, the roadblock is that they're currently in a different timeline, not anything related to this.
if they're just waving off the term Inhuman entirely, that's kind of a problem for using Quake as we know and love her right? maybe we get the character eventually but I feel like they'll just reboot her to streamline her backstory into something that fits into this continuity, maybe even recast her entirely. which... would bum me out even more than just never seeing the character again lol but I'm a vocal minority about this
I feel pretty confident that a Daisy Johnson played by Chloe Bennett, with her powers and code name and a vaguely defined history with SHIELD, will show up in a Marvel Studios project some time in the next few years or so. The absolute funniest outcome of all this would be if they just said, “oh, yeah, Inhumans and mutants are the same thing. Some just need their genes activated while others get ‘em at birth or puberty.” Just straight up use the franchise that Perlmutter wanted to replace the X-Men… to help introduce ‘em instead, lol.
why the fuck do they keep dropping the x-men cartoon sting in everything lol I know it rules but every time it plays in these live action blockbusters in 2022 I roll my eyes
This show was brilliant. Loved the exploration of family, loved the insights into Pakistani history, loved the fact that it didn’t shy away from life and worship inside a mosque. The story was good and I enjoyed it throughout. Can’t wait for more of Ms Marvel!
'Ms. Marvel' Star Accused Of Sexually Harassing & Grooming A Minor Super disappointing and sad if true.
