The kid from Walking Dead is totally in love with Kamala.

this show is so great. feels like the first time the D+ format is working for the show instead of, y'know, actively sabotaging it

the casting across the board is just great, but Nakia especially shined this ep

Vellani is an absolute star, just crazy charisma and personality. Incredible casting.

the character work in this show is so good. this week's scene with Kamala and her mother had me full on sobbing

I could really do without the DODC stuff tho. especially now we have actually interesting villains, they just seem so out of place

  6. Hah, just looked up why one of the aunties looked so familiar. VA for Symmetra from Overwatch!

this is becoming some of my favourite Marvel content ever. better get a second season I swear

that train scene at the end was pretty confronting/upsetting. some of the realest shit I've seen from a comic book show

I've enjoyed every episode of this but I do not think about it at all after it's over

I've enjoyed the episodes i've seen, but i've gone a few weeks without watching and i have no immediate need to watch it as soon as i can. Very low on my priority for shows right now. I might just wait until its over binge the remaining episodes.

I feel the same way. I enjoy it while I'm watching but weirdly don't feel any urgency to watch new episodes.

This has been a huge delight and I really appreciate how they are taking their time to give us the full teenage superhero learning about how to be a hero story. That was glossed over pretty fast with Spider-Man, so it’s fun to see it for the first time in the MCU, especially with the cultural/family elements that really succeed at being specific to them, but still universal experiences no matter your background.

finally got around to watching episode 5 and really enjoyed it, although the pacing of the ending was super rushed. felt like it could've easily had another 10 minutes to play with

loved the first 20 minutes a lot and the emotional payoff was great. I choked up pretty hard when Kamala gave the picture of Aisha to Nani. this show has been insanely good at handling the generational trauma throughline, much less so handling its villains lmao

I miss Nakia and Kamala's dad way too much, hopefully they have a lot to do in the finale

Season finale was a fun time. The suit looks good in action. Looking forward to The Marvels!

Are they telling us Kamala is a mutant at the end there or am I way off?

I haven't watched the episode yet, but that seems to be how everyone is taking it, and apparently a musical cue from the animated X-Men theme song seems to signify that's exactly how we should take it.

I'm gonna have to rewatch that part

Edit: Can confirm it's the animated X-Men theme song. Holy shiiiiit.

That episode was so fucking good. Might have enjoyed that the most out of all the Marvel TV shows so far. Whereas a lot of recent Marvel stuff has been good, it hasn’t had the genuine Marvel joy you got from films prior to Endgame (NWH and probably Shang Chi aside). This had a shit tonne of joy and was so much fun.

And yeah, the pre credits and mid credit scenes were SO good. Was grinning like an idiot. I’m sure someone will come along and say ”oh, so we’re not gonna see what happens to Kamala until next year? Seems a bit dumb”, but honestly? Fuck ‘em. Those end credits got me excited again and I haven’t felt that for a while, despite still enjoying the films and shows.
