There’s usually no reason to worry about stuff like that, I don’t think isaac or hawke would be involved in the show if they didn’t think it would be at least somewhat good
To be fair, that movie didn’t actually happen Also, it’s so bizarre watching him in show me a hero while waiting for this series to come out lol
The UK updated its age rating to 16+. Hopefully that means a darker and more violent tone like the Netflix series
Watched the first four. I think it's pretty solid! Isaac is great. Hawke plays the stoic villain really well. The interactions between Isaac's two characters kind of bothers me, if only because it reminds of the "Dexter" dark passenger stuff, which I thought was endlessly cheesy. F. Murray Abraham is a perfect pick for the voice of Khonshu. For those looking for horror and violence, I'd say it's maybe as bloody as the Netflix "Daredevil." So don't get too jazzed about that.
I feel like Daredevil-level is more than anyone even expected, so if you say it's on that level, that's a win in my eyes.
yeah lol that's great news, all I've been seeing is scepticism that this would be as violent as Daredevil occasionally let itself be, so that's cool fwiw though, after doing one hell of a dive into MK comics the past month, this reputation he has as an ultra-violent wisecracking mercenary is wildly overblown. the best runs (Moench's original and Lemire's mainly) are mostly moody psychological pieces with more character work than anything else. the only time Marc was running around cutting people's faces off was the Houston run, which is a decent read but it's had this outsized impact on his image to the extent that people make MK sound like Deadpool lol apologies for the rant but if this show goes a ways towards righting that ship I'll be delighted
I should say that it’s in the realm of Daredevil, probably a little less so. But definitely more bloody than any of the other Disney+ Marvel series. Nobody gets their head caved in by a car door like Daredevil. Haha
I wish they'd let an actual British person take a look at the script, and the CG in the driving sequence was pretty ropey, but I'm down for wherever this goes.
