I love that this episode started out as basically a role reversal of the first episode, with Marc blacking out and waking up in new places, and Steven asking Marc to let him take control. I also love how Marc and Khonshu are both slowly allowing for trust in Steven to be part of the team. Anyway, if this mysterious third personality turns out to be something other than Jake Lockley, I'm gonna put a foot through the TV. Also kind of curious why they changed Layla's name from Marlene since she's very clearly an adaptation of that character. Not a big deal, but I'm curious what went into that decision.
Gods: Khonshu, don't fuck with the sky again or you'll be imprisoned. Khonshu: yeeeeaaaah... stars in the sky go brrrrrrr.
I think some of the black outs we’ve seen have been Jake. Steven never remembered asking the girl out on the date and it wouldn't be Marc either since he was already married. Some of the black outs in this episode are for sure Jake.
Yeah it seemed like it was maybe setting up the "unknown" blackouts in this episode as being Khonshu, but it's surely gotta be Jake. Probably will be a reveal at the end of the season
I think it could get convoluted to introduce a third alter in the middle of the story. Plus, plot details for next episode leaked and there was no mention of Jake, so best case is it'll be in the last two episodes
It seems that Marc survived the snap. Someone looked closely at his passport and it was renewed in December 2018. Pretty sure most of the new phase 4 characters survived the snap. So far it’s Shang-Chi, Katy, Wenwu, Xialing, Kate, Kamala, and Marc. We can count the Eternals, too. The only ones I can think of that were snapped are Yelena and (maybe) Echo.
Echo wasn't snapped. She saw Ronin kill her father and the rest of the gang, and he was only active during that 5 year gap
I love everything about that final sequence. It's clearly happening inside of Marc's head, which is why Marc and Stephen are able to be separate, but I love that for a moment it does a Usual Suspects routine where you're not sure if Marc is just making everything up from the objects around him in the hospital. Also love the sheer randomness of Tawaret dropping in and saying "hi". That voice was fucking perfect. And I also really enjoyed earlier in the episode Marc making good on his promise to, more or less, throw themselves off a cliff. Frankly, I just love the dynamic between Marc and Steven, and I think it makes the entire show. It feels like they're brothers, even though they're the same person. What I don't love? The feeling we're definitely not getting Jake this season. They're still teasing him and we only have two episodes left, and I really doubt we're gonna have enough time to deal with a third personality at this stage of the game.
This is most likely a limited series. They submitted this and Hawkeye as limited series at the Emmy's, and Loki as a Drama.
Yeah it’s already been confirmed this show and Hawkeye won’t have a season 2. These characters will crossover to the big screen soon after.
