that’s a terrible trailer but i’m sure the movie will still be good. a24 trailers are either great or a total brick regardless of the movie’s quality
i think focusing on runtime leads on here but moreso on other platforms to negativity or weirdness going into the release. i have friends who won't go see a 3 hour movie in the theater and will wait until it's released digitally almost solely because of the runtime. it's goofy and it creates a weird narrative about movies before anyone who isn't a press person sees them i remember it most for killers of the flower moon but there have been other examples too now that the theatrical window is so short.
I feel like runtime has mattered less and less to filmgoers since stuff like Endgame, but my observations are obviously subjective
I'm always going to take early/festival screening reactions with a grain of salt, but it's pretty exciting
People seem really into this. The mere fact that they’re saying parts of it have Uncut Gems energy has me ready to buy a ticket
