No child in my divorce but this was almost too painfully real

a fantastic movie and Driver absolutely deserves everything he gets for

 

Man I fucking loved this. Didn’t expect it to be funny for some reason. Apartment fight really took me back to my shitty relationship where we stayed together 3 years too long, way too accurate. Gonna have this one on the mind

 

That "I can't believe I have to know you for the rest of my life" line really hit hard

this movie is incredible, I'm only 70% of the way through but I am thoroughly impressed.

 

This was incredible, Driver is great, divorce lawyers seem to be the bottom of society

They really are. Mine was super gross, but you really can't do it without one, so it it was it is.

 

I work for a family lawyer who mainly does separations/divorces so all the lawyer scenes made me laugh the most. the whole bit about "we have to look at it from the court's perspective" "I thought we were trying to avoid court" was SO real

 

This movie is just emotionally heavy. Granted, I’ve never been divorced but the stuff with the child just hits so fucking hard to me dealing with the situation with my own child with her mother.

Teared up when he did at the end when he was reading the letter with his son. What a great film.

 

Most movies I can understand the discourse, I can’t with this one.

 

I have cooled on this a bit since watching

 

Watched this for the third time last night.
Just a remarkable heavy-hitting movie. I’ve never been married but I have a 12 year old from a 10+ year relationship that ended a few years ago. Still hits home with me.

 

Sincerity has kind of gone out the window since Twitter came out, I feel like?
