We need to about what the hell is happening on this album, is this somehow an all new level of bad or am I losing it? Adam doesn't even sound like himself in half the songs, like he's trying out new voices
The first two tracks give you enough ammo to give a huge WTF, and it's only 27 min if you desire more
I couldn't do it, Jagger is the only one I'm sure of and pretty sure on Girls Like You because of Megan
"Sugar," "Payphone," and "Memories" (don't even remember that one, lol) all peaked at 2. None of the Songs About Jane songs went to number 1; both "This Love" and "She Will Be Loved" peaked at 5. "Moves Like Jagger" and "Girls Like You" are both correct. No one has mentioned the other two, one of which was a nine-week number 1. Extremely weird legacy, this band.
I would have said Payphone, Memories, Jagger and Girls Like You. Trying to think of other big songs ... Misery or One More Night?
@Craig Manning Memories was a ballad and I remember the chorus goes The memories bring back memories bring back You
Going to assume the missing song is a more recent hit. I can barely name a single song from the last couple albums so I'll pass lol
Ding ding ding! “One More Night” is the nine-weeker. I don’t think “Misery” was very big, though. That album was a bit of a failure until they rebooted it/changed their entire identity as a band with “Moves Like Jagger.” I hope he got a Nobel Prize for that. The song no one has mentioned is actually their very first number 1, but it seems like a totally memory-holed piece of mid-2000s pop cultural ephemera.
Very first??? Harder to Breathe didn't hit #1 right? Ummmmm maybe it was the lead off the second album, which would make sense, but I can't recall what it would be without looking at the track list
Something to Believe In??? is that what its called Give me something to believe in cuz i don't believe in you, any more, any moOOooreee
makes me wonder had to chime in as that is one of very few songs from them that i like goddamn that song is going to be stuck in my head all day now
I feel like the one way they could be popular again is going back to something reminiscent of their original sound since nostalgia is so big right now
Yeah, was basically their grab at making a graduation song, with the irony that it would have been the graduating song for kids in 2020.
