Eddie Reyes, formerly of Taking Back Sunday, recently mentioned on a podcast that Mark had was no longer in the band: ”I just recently started speaking with Mark again, who’s apparently, uh, he walked away from, er, he’s not in the band anymore.” more Not all embedded content is displayed here. I'm also aware he's not particularly happy with them releasing a limited edition bourbon and made a pretty damning Instagram post about them not respecting someone else's sobriety or something.
It's pretty fitting for this band's history that something like this would be announced by a former member after being avoided by the band/Mark for months
For how awful this band has become, this seems to be the best choice. What and the hell happened to these guys; especially Nolan, his live vocals are somehow worse than Adam's, which is a difficult feat.
Maybe we’ll get a band comprised of Fred, Fazzi, Eddie, Mark and Matt Rubano and they can tour as Taking Back Taking Back Sunday
I would pay good money to see Mark, Eddie, Fred and Matt play together again. Surely they could find a decent singer.
It is interesting to me how each member that has been "kicked out" of this band, is wildly more talented than the current member in that specific discipline. Rubano, Fred, Fazzi are incredible musicians. Furthermore, they had great stage presence live. What we are left with in 2024, is an absolute shell of what used to be.
Hmm, are we gonna pretend they didn't just release their best album since 2002? Live? Sure, but they've always sucked. However, 152 could make a pretty good case as being their best studio album.
I commented back when 152 came out. I agree, easily their best record since Louder Now. I would strongly disagree; they have not "always sucked" live. There was a period in which they put on a hell of a show, albeit some vocal struggles. What I have seen on every live video this calendar year, and seeing them 1 time in person, is the equivalent of a high school band covering a TBS set at battle of the bands. It is baffling at how bad the live show has become.
I made this exact joke in one of band threads last week, how do I file copyright infringement for a comment? /s
I used to be in Taking Back Sunday. For realsies though, relationships should be mended and Mark, Rubano, Fazzi, Eddie, and Fred should start a band.
Wrong. The two TAYF acoustic bonus tracks from s/t take the cake as the worst performance I've ever heard from them
I will forever die on the hill that TBS V2 is the superior version with Fred Masherino and Matt Rubano. WYWTB > TAYF and thats just a fact
TAYF was just such a place and a time for me. I walked into a Hot Topic right around when it came out, and it was playing on their radio, so I immediately ran to the counter, asked who it was, and got the cd.
