Push - Absolutely love this song, and is really the footprint for the band's later albums.

Feeling Small - Still stand by the statement that Shake Tramp is the worst song on this album, and one of the band's worst songs by far.

Far From Here - such a fantastic riff - absolute madlads!

Fix Me - listened to this, why was this not on the album?!

Overall, I'm so glad I've listened to this album more because of this. I've placed this album to the side in my mind for the more fully realized MPT, EA, Astoria trilogy. But this album has many great songs that accomplishes a completely different thing than those albums.

 

Glad it helped you re-discover this album! It is really a gem - I have so many memories associated with listening to it back when it came out. Even if the later albums are more refined, I love the raw passion and honesty of these tracks.

I kind of figured, this is their least-known album. Masterpiece Theatre will bring it all back up ;)

Skin & Bones - This song has always hit me really hard and been one of my fave early Trench songs, so had to give it the win.

Feeling Small - Shake Tramp was the song that got them known, but Feeling Small is probably my favourite MT b-side so I had to give it to this track (and Shake Tramp's lyrics are still quite cringe-y)

Alibis - One of my all-time fave tracks from the band and my favourite on Fix Me, so this was an easy choice.

Say Anything - Won't make a difference, but I adore this track and Fix Me doesn't quite stand up to it IMO.
