Mariah Carey- Caution (November 16,2018) Album

This is out today!

 

she sounds great and does a good job of being classic but also sounding fresh
I love that the Blood Orange/Mariah song sounds like an organic meshing of their sounds with a Slick Rick verse to boot
and it's cool having a pop album where she collaborates with a bunch of producers (Timbaland, DJ Mustard, Skrillex, Nineteen85, Blood Orange)

 

This is very, very, very good. Probably the best Mariah album since E=MC² and possibly in the top four. One of the several great R&B albums of 2018.

I'm not a huge fan of Craig's writing usually but given how others talk about him I would have thought he know better than to play into this "comeback" narrative, as if her previous albums haven't been great
