Roughly 5 copies of The Bride on the Boxcar just went up for sale. "The bride on the boxcar" 5xLP Box Set
Got a random postcard in the mail today from Richard with what I imagine are some lyrics from the new project and then signed "(went to California and made a thing) - Richard Edwards (who was in that Margot band)" I'm not sure I'll ever have another fandom experience as rewarding as following his music EDIT: The Next Life
The Next Life Received a postcard from Richard Edwards yesterday. Thought that was awesome. I'll share some pics later. So it sounds like these releases will actually be under the moniker Richard Edwards, and not Margot.
That website also makes it seem like he might be going under the moniker "Lemons," unless I'm reading too far into it. It'd be interesting if he chooses another "band name" instead of going under his own name. Of course I'm excited for whatever he puts out either way.
I was thinking that Lemons might be the name of the record or something and The Next Life might be the follow-up EP. But I have no clue. However, on the postcard he signs it Richard Edwards, who was in that Margot band.
That's what I thought. That those were the names of the two releases that are coming and it'll just be under his name. Time for the rebrand babay! Maybe he'll blow up like he deserves this time around
Joyful Noise is insinuating a song from this upcoming project is gonna be part of their VIP 7" single series this month. So sign up by the 15th if you want it.
Saw that. If I knew it was going to be a rare single or something like that, I might bite. But aren't those single series just singles off the record? I would say either Buzzard or Slingshot To Heaven.
So yeah, Disappeared Planets was the JN mystery 7" of the month. Sounds pretty great. I will never forget hearing him play that for the first time on one of his live streams. It was haunting in that setting. Also, it's got some partial acoustic song or interlude tacked on to the end. Hope we get the roll out soon.
Just a normal 7". Clear with a pretty cool paintingish thing/piece of art specific to the song on the b side
