Margot & the Nuclear So and So's Band

The rarities collection that came out last year was stunning and you should check it out if you like this band's music at all. It had a disc of outtakes for each of their full-length albums.

New album presumably coming later this year, although Richard has said that he's not sure yet whether it will be under the Margot name or whether it will be released as something else. I think he's recording the last few tracks for it now-ish. He did a live-stream from a beach today that I haven't watched yet.

 

Richard released 5 demos that didn't make the cut of Bride on the Boxcar.

Yep I think that's what I remember reading. I'm guessing an LP + a 10"?

 

So excited, Slingshot To Heaven is my favorite record of theirs and it seems they're going further in that direction. Olive Oyl sounds so amazing. Also I've been a Jenny O. fan for a while and her doing harmonies on this is pretty awesome if you don't know her check her out

 

Will always be excited for more Margot, even with the recent massive injection I got from the outtakes collection.

 

Gah a full length + a 7 track EP? And then, that special lathe cut coming soon. Going to be a good year to be a Margot fan.

I have a feeling this record will be released under the moniker Richard Edwards, rather than Margot & The Nuclear So And So's.

Really don't know if I can handle this record coming out this year, was really counting it starting off 2017 on a good note so I could say "At least we got that margot record" but now there is nothing

airik625 I swear we are into all the same bands! Love these guys. Slingshot was a welcome return was a lil lackluster on Rot Gut and Dust will most likely always be my favorite but every album has something special! Really stoked if there is new music coming I didn't know and I'm usual on top of this band.

 

New record on the way! It's been in the works for most of this year. Probably going to be early next year before it's released. Artwork and logistics still need work. Richard said pre sale for the full length will be this fall/winter. In addition to the full length, a 6-7 song EP will follow that is entitled, "Verdugo".

Also, he just released a limited (30 copies) 7" lathe cut with the track "Drinkin' Bout You". By the way, that release is under the moniker Richard Edwards.

Apparently that song he just released on SoundCloud is from the upcoming EP.
