is it just me or is the mixing on Circles Around This Town not ideal? Vocals sound mixed too high and sound tinny to me. Something just feels unbalanced to me

 

I've enjoyed both the singles so far. Looking forward to this.

Really? I really loved this one. A much more interesting approach to a love song -- and much more unique to her relationship with Ryan -- than a lot of what was on Girl.

Adore this verse:

New song is fantastic. Reminds me of “Vampires” by Isbell a touch with lyrical theme.

3/3 for me. Very excited to finally hear this in a couple weeks.

 

starting to get a bit nervous (see what i did there?!?) about this album. All 3 songs are... fine I guess, nothing I would call bad, but they are all super forgettable and feel like they're missing that special something. I dunno, maybe in context of the album it'll all come together and make sense

 

I think I like all three of these songs more than all but 3-4 songs off GIRL. Feels like a necessary course correction to me. I think she lost some of what made her unique as a songwriter and lyricist on the last album; I'm glad to have it back.
