RIP my wallet. BL preorder this week, Many Eyes PO next week (potentially). I just want to hear more from this band, at this point.
It's not really my wheelhouse per se, but both brothers do a lot of the writing and backing for Dee Snider's band. I believe they've done some of Jamie Jasta's solo stuff as well. Both brothers have noteworthy credentials. And Charlie did write most of the music for this album, so regardless of the reasoning, it is weird that he is out of the band before the album is even released (even if it is a totally valid reason).
Yeah it must be so awkward to be already out of the band before the record you're part of was even announced. That's my only takeaway from this
That happened to Jason from Weezer on the blue album, but I think rivers re-recorded all his parts in a day haha
The bellmore brothers, while not musical geniuses by any stretch, have done plenty of work as session musicians, producers, etc for heavy acts and for Jasta in particular. I think this is weird because Jasta stuck his neck out for Keith and set him up with these two since he had a long history with them and they were solid as far as writing and commitment go. I'd be Interested to hear Jasta's take too. But I do think there's still a lot of 'where there's smoke there's fire' energy with Keith so we'll see Not to mention the fact that he's still taking patreon money when he hasn't posted since January
when the guy tracked bass and guitar for this record and is getting booted before its even out + the collapse of keith's last band where it was everyone else vs him... I think thats more than enough to read into. common denominator, as someone said.
Yup: I don't think anything scandalous is going on, I'm pretty sure Charlie just has commitments with recording and producing but I do think he was lead to believe they would be able to remain flexible based on some of the previous podcasts he did with Keith
My point is does anyone know him personally? Do any of you know any of these people personally? We still don’t know exactly what happened with ETID because we don’t know any of these people other than what they let us see. Maybe it is all Keith’s fault but acting like I know anything more than some random guy on the street is foolish and a waste of time. It’s just another example of weird parasocial relationships making people think they actually know anything about these people
I always see the parasocial thing come up, which I get for a lot of things, but the only things I ever personally bring up are from my time as a discord and twitch mod from when Keith started that during Covid. I saw how a lot of things were behind the scenes leading up to and during the breakup (not with the entire band, other than the shows I was at around that time). Things that came up in private mod chats including him and Angie, and the whole scenario around the leaking of texts with him and Jordan, etc. It was all gross. The few of us that contested in the slightest were, in a moment's notice with no discussion, banned and blocked then harassed by other mods on social media (two of us were threatened with defamation action for supporting someone's comments on twitter LOL) I have no issue or care with what Keith or anyone else chooses to do, believe in, etc. but I do think it's fair to just say that in my personal experience there was definitely some weird stuff going on near the end of the ETID ride (there could have been some weird stuff with the other guys too, who knows). At the end of the day I'd rather just enjoy all the music and not be privy to the inside baseball, to the extent that I really regret ever volunteering my time
You can pre save the album on Apple Music. It’s called “The Light Age”. Looks like it also releases on September 6th.
Yeah, sorry, even without Keith's involvement, I would be very skeptical of a band firing their sole guitarist right after an album is finished.
