i was too drunk when i wrote this, i just listened to the song and that is how you introduce a new band. i like it better than the last 4 ETID records. fuck off, i'm in love.
Keith's scream rips as hard as ever. The chorus doesn't hit for me. The riffs sound like a poor ETID impression.
Chorus works for me and I don’t think the transition into it is even a little bit jarring. Song rules
Keith sounds amazing but the instrumentals are seriously so generic. The song is almost good but definitely a miss for me.
Anyone know anything about the live lineup? Curious who is playing live vs what will be a backing track.
Judging by a Patreon AMA last week, it's going to be Keith, Charlie, Nick and "a guy named Shawn" playing bass on tour
Still not sold by the new one. These two riff songs really don't come close to capturing the energy of ETID/Better Lovers.
The new song has the vibes of Nirvanas Breed, which checks out based on the initial interviews of them all being inspired by the grunge era
So far, I definitely prefer Better Lovers to Many Eyes, but it is great to hear Keith's vocals again.
This one is cooler than the first song. Loving nirvana vibes on the vocal performance. I see the potential in this project but etid and damned things were significantly better vehicles for backing keith’s performance. Musically this feels very etid life to me.
I don’t know if it’s the production but the music just sounds so generic and lifeless. It sounds like one of those built in GarageBand tracks that are like “look what you can create with our built in software!”
The guitar work is very plain and, for the lack of a better word, generic indeed. If it wasn't for Keith's presence, I wouldn't be interested... unless the other guys have more up their sleeves.
