Just listened to Chris’s entire discography yesterday (first time in a while) on a long ride (40 miles baby!) and while I love Doom Loop- the dudes are right. Dig Up The Dead is his best work. The only thing Doom has over DUTD is the production sounding a lot better. Dig Up The Dead > Doom Loop > New Best Friends Also, “Unwell” is probably in my top 3 Mansions songs of all time.
have you ever listened to the covers he did under the name of bristopher crowder? shows why i like him so much, he covered white houses by vanessa carlton and don't tell me by avril lol, as well as doing a mashup of come clean by hilary duff with black history month by death from above
Whaaaaaaaa I been a huge Mansions fan since the very beginning (found out about him because I was friends with some dudes from that band Emanuel on MySpace back in 07) but I don’t know if I ever knew about this- will have to check it out! Is it online?
Those are pretty damn good. I hate how Blood ends- not because it abruptly ends but because how rough it sounds. Aside from that, I love both tracks quite a bit. I would add “100 Degrees” to the list of best songs off Doom.
Doom Loop is the only record I've listened to from them and it is easily one of the greatest records since 2010. What else would I spin from them? I was surprised to read through this thread and see that the reception to Doom Loop wasn't mostly glowing.
he did like my post asking if there would be new music this year like he promised SOOOOo that's all i know
