k sweet, im starting with DUTD. really digging this so far. (first thing ive ever heard from them, i just see you hype them a ton, so figured it was time to dive in)
that's easily one of my top 10 albums of all time. it's just a really beautiful, intimate record. its closest comparison is probably threads by now now. the later material leans more towards a more production focused sound, pushing outwards instead of inwards, but they basically mastered the intimate sound so they had to push out from there. new best friends could be from a very different band but i still love it. lots of other really great tracks outside of the records too
New song's aight. I'd like it more on an album....not sure how I feel about it taking up a spot on a 6-song EP.
so I'm finally diving into the rest of their discog and I'm loving it. don't know why I haven't sooner.
got my shipping notification also in the AMA he said he hopes to release music more regularly but not really tour other than local shows
Got a shipping email as well. Glad to see a record I ordered is most likely going to be on time for the first time in a while
it's about the concept of the secret limited preorder that has value rather than the actual product itself
i mean I keep a print out of my order confirmation on me at all times just in case there's somebody to impress
Seattle Indie Rockers Mansions Return With Long-Awaited EP 'Deserter': Premiere get hyped about the callback on the last track
If you have been on the AMA thread Chris did the other day, he mentioned that one of the songs on Deserter (High Numbers) was a reworking of an a pre-synth drop idea, an early version of it appears here: starts at 32:35
Sounds like it "...Browder accidentally dropped a synthesizer on his hard drive, destroying an album that had him stuck on neutral for a while."
