Would pay $250 for a new Weatherbox record (with the production quality of Cosmic Drama) to become reality and in my hands.

 

.....I believe Brand New mentioned having an album out over the summer or whatever it was(or their lablel put out that piece of paper with Brand New on the summer releases, I dont remember what it was).

But yeah, regardless.....people say a lot of things lol. Also, a lot of things change. Republic of Wolves were talking about having an album out this year too but by the time they shopped around labels and decided to crowdfund....it pushed the record back into March 2018.

Anyways, this is hype :).

Not super into the new song. Sounds like a Doom Loop b-side, doesn't super grab me. Very excited to have new music and about this EP though.

it definitely wasn't up there then, that's only happened recently. it was on a label that doesn't exist anymore

Dig Up the Dead is a classic IMO. It’s seriously something else and just puts me in a specific mindset every time I listen to it

 

I have always loved the record (understatement) but I recently revisited the record on vinyl (after only playing Doom Loop for the last 2-3 years for some reason?) and wow- it still holds up incredibly well. It's an amazing record and easily Chris's best work. Every song makes me feel something but specifically "Wormhole", "Not My Blood", "Call Me When It's Over", "Seven Years", and "You Got Cool" really hit me in the gut lately.

 

That was pretty good, I really enjoyed it

Dig Up The Dead might be my fav record of all time.

 

To me it does. The slightly more buried vocals, the fuzzy guitars, etc. Not hating on it...just not blown away. Very hyped to be getting new music!

 

It's too fucking good. "Vital" is the first word that come to mind.

 

so this is bookended by the most classic mansions sounding songs, the rest of it is pretty different from all his old stuff. the bridge of one of three is definitely a classic mansions moment

 

felt this way about the chorus of track two
