The song is fucking sick. I love how it opens up in the second half.

Super random they're back and a new album coming within a month! Very hype to have new Mansions!

I'm not blown away by this single, but it's solid!

Dig Up the Dead demos and b-sides (including 5 whole songs we've never heard) on Bandcamp, proceeds to Black Lives Matter

I love it! Kinda wish it wasn't released as a single as I feel like it would've floored me within the context of the record. Super excited to see how it's utilized with the tracks around it. 2/2

The Deserter EP was a pretty big departure from their first three records. Would you say Big Bad follows that direction or is it something totally different? Is it "single-driven" with big hooks and building climaxes or is it appreciated more as a complete front-to-back listen?

Glad I was able to pre-order the vinyl though amazon. saved me a ton of money. Looking forward to this. Really liked that second single.

I never really revisit Deserter so I hope this isn't too much like that.

big bad is super different from any of their other stuff. its a lot more subdued, not very single-driven or hook-driven at all, imo, and doesn't really sound much like deserter to me either. not to say it isn't catchy or anything, but its much, much more toned down than any of their previous records. ppv is a good indicator of how the rest of this sounds

    Yes but it’s so good

very introspective but there’s some fun reverb riffing at times - PPV is a favorite

Those first couple of records are dope - and Chris’s earlier more acoustic based stuff was legit too

Yeah I'll be honest my expectations aren't super high for this based on the singles and what I've heard. Love Mansions though and I'm ready to be pleasantly surprised.
