To echo others I love the aesthetic of the environments. It’s like the futuristic, but lived in feel of Alien meets Children of Men. Finished ep 2, and loved seeing the actress from Ozark in it.
I was getting a big “International Assassin” vibe from the 2nd half of this season and then I saw in the credits that Nick Cuse is literally a producer. Makes so much sense lol.
And the show is created and co-written by Patrick Somerville, who also wrote a bunch of episodes of The Leftovers
I didn’t recognize his name as immediately as Cuse but this also makes so much sense. All fans of The Leftovers should watch this show.
Finished. What a trip. I'm not even sure how to talk about this show yet, but I loved it. Great work from Hill and Stone. Theroux's character was a riot. I absolutely loved the set design of the lab.
Pilot was incredible, been a while since a first episode made me feel that way. Strange, surreal, surprisingly funny BALDERDASH and wonderfully shot. So excited to see where this goes
4 episodes in, absolutely loving it. Fucking lost it when the Fur dealer's son got shot like 700 times. Kept forgetting Emma Stone wasn't Margot Robbie in that episode
This was pretty good. Kinda surprised how uninterested I was in most of the dream stuff. Was much more into everything happening in the real world.
Just finished this season. Oh man, I really really loved this season. Not gonna spoil anything but definitely some damn emotional moments that had me tearing up
Still thinking about this show and all the little nods that occur retrospectively/prospectively. If you haven’t watched it yet, keep your eye out for settings, billboards, names, ideas, etc. They really help flesh out the viewing experience
Just finished it. Really loved it. Great performances all around, absolutely loved Justin Theroux's character
Have one episode left. Felt cheated when I watched episode 7 and it ended at 22 minutes though! But great seeing Jonah Hill and Emma Stone working together on a quality series.
