love memories from the end, they remind of Parachutes era coldplay which is a nice thing to say about a song.

Damn I had no idea the amount of hate Cope was getting. Kinda shocked to read people using the word disaster to discribe it, or saying it turned them off of MO completely. It's not my favorite MO album, but between Cope and Hope there is at least one version of each of the songs I really enjoy.

dont get me wrong cope isn't all awful. it has some good songs but it never reaches the transcendental moments of greatness that andy always was able to pull off for me on their other records.

as for church... fur stop caring, barely bit me, rotten black root, made out of lightening are all some of my least fav ragc tracks, but the rest of that album is phenomenal. i wait for you is probably the most gorgeous song to come out of the ragc project. i really don't think it's a bad album, just my least fav of the trilogy.

I've always been partial to TEH but to be honest I haven't spent that much time with Church, it didn't grab me much at first and then I forgot about it. Think I'm gonna take it for a spin after the Swiss Army Man Soundtrack.

Is the RAGC live album not available anywhere digitally? I'm a huge fan of the project and never got to hear it. Such a bummer. The prices for a cd on eBay are equally depressing

I Am Aware, Fur, Memories pt. 2, and as much as I like When I Met Death and I Wait For You, they both have lines in them that I kind of roll my eyes at. Lightning doesn't hit me the way I think it was intended to, but that's just me.

Blame is the greatest RAGC song of them all.

Random thought: After Simple Math came out, I thought it was such a let down and it ruined the band's previous two albums (for me) for a couple years. I recently revisited Simple Math, and I was so wrong about that record. It's absolutely incredible, and it's hard to compare (like apples to oranges) but it's basically as good as METN. MO is by far one of my favorite bands. I hope they release new music soon.

Where Have You Been? is one of the best songs ever written, I swear.

I saw Swiss Army Man this weekend. Without giving too much away, I'm just gonna say that if you're an MO fan, you should see this movie. The music makes it. And there's an easter egg or two towards the end.

I didn't say it was good! Although nobody walked out at my screening, and it actually got some applause at the end. I enjoyed it, but it's plodding at times, and it is not nearly as deep as it maybe thinks it is. It unravels at the end, but it's funny and charming up until that point.

With all that said, if you go into the movie knowing that it's a giant fart joke, then you might just enjoy it.

Yes. One is kind of subtle, the other is not subtle at all and probably not even considered an easter egg.

I just checked the Trivia page and I don't think they're there.

If anyone wants to know what they are:
    1) Every Stone plays briefly when Mary Elizabeth Winstead is in her kitchen, and 2) Andy is in the movie and has multiple lines.

Though for a most part those lines are him saying "what the fuck?"

This is true. But when I saw his IMDB credit, I figured he'd just be an extra. Turns out he had a much more extensive role than that.

I think whatever they do for their next record they need to reinvent themselves a little bit.. I would love something super dynamic that captures their live sound more.. Get a good producer who can capture their sound too.
