I remember I spent way too much on that Manchester/o'brother/thrice split back when it was released but they're still like my three favorite bands so I'm glad I have it
The best bet is collectors forums or facebook groups, honestly. They're usually better people and better common sense prices. Usually.
Wow. This must have cost a fortune and been a stressful endeavor. There are plenty of bands that i like enough to do this for but never wanted to go down that rabbit hole. Haha. Props!
The hardest things to come across were the Thrice split, the MTB splits (all 3 variants including the test press), and the 5 Stories EP (which I just assumed I'd never get). Everything else I pretty much bought as it was released. They're a lot easier to collect for than some bands that have 10 variants of every record they release.
Do you have the variants on display at all? That's the thing that always stops me. If I'm not going to put them on display, what do I need three colors of the same record for?
I have a massive MO Display, but not the variants. I started just trying to support the band, I'd buy a copy of the LP's everytime I saw them regardless if I already had them. Then they started doing the colors, and it seemed stupid NOT to buy those after I already bought 5 copies of them on black.
This is an older picture, the tv was moved but the 'display' is still the same. I'll add Hope & Black Mile once I get them fully signed too. Then I have like 4 or 5 framed tour/show prints. I live alone, if that's not obvious. Lol
Holy moley. Guess the median for the red variant of BB 1 is 100. If anyone wants to offer that, lmk. I have 2 copies. One has never been taken out of its sleeve. It also comes with their signed poster they did with preorders.
