What's more surprising is that Cope is a lot of people's favorite album. I'm generally interested in what people like about Cope. Maybe you guys can enlighten me into giving it another shot.
Well somebody already said they like the songwriting on Cope. I do too. I think that could have been right up there with ILAV for their best if it actually had good production.
I love Cope and the songwriting but I wish there were more dynamic choruses. I feel like that's more a production issue than anything
ILAV is easily my least favorite MO album. It's the only one I don't have downloaded actually. Just ended up skipping the tracks when they would come on.
The best part of Cope was the deluxe edition that featured the HAUNTING After the Scripture track. One of my favorite MO songs ever.
Forgot about that song. I used to have it but lost it when my laptoo died on me. But yeah that's one of the best songs to come from the Cope sessions
ILAV took a long time to grow on me. I'm still not too big on Alice & Interiors, and some days Golden Ticket, but Where Have You Been is my favorite Manchester song. I'd still put ILAV over Cope and Hope though.
Personally I think an argument could be made for any of their albums being their best. But whenever I recommend them I always start people with METN.
acronyms are a bit more confusing when you leave out a bunch of the words. especially for brainstorm (which is also ranked too low)
MO is my favorite band, and I had to think about these acronyms. I don't even know what FYOE is? Edit: oh jesus, you're going for EVERY ep, where's 5 Stories?
Seriously though. Cope doesn't even compare to the other three. Tried listening to it today. Hope'a versions of Girl Harbor and The Mansion are absolutely fantastic.
