I don’t hold it against any artist for charging for virtual shows as an additional revenue stream, having said that though, I think it’s very cool that MO are doing this for free for the fans!
I feel like there’s gonna be an album announcement at the end of the show, an album with a quick turnaround based on Jason’s/Drew’s comments. Fingers crossed!
Midnight tonight makes the most sense for a single drop normally, but with all the focus on this concert, 9pm EST Friday seems to make a lot of sense with the rollout.
I don't think you can just drop a song on streaming at a specific time can you? Pretty sure all the songs if being released on a day have to go up on midnight. Could be wrong though
I'm sure it would mean that it misses this week's release radar, but Julien Baker's newest single dropped at 10am on a Wednesday on Spotify. Does not have to be midnight.
Hopeful thinking here but it would be really fucking cool if the set ended with Andy just saying “stream/buy our new single available everywhere”
Like I’ve been saying, you can continue to delay the album, but people are ready for a new MO song. Doesn’t take away from all the other cool stuff they’ve been doing with releasing old demos and Christmas songs. Ride any momentum from someone who may have discovered you through other artists like Andy working with Paris or Matt. Let them see what MO is all about.
Y'all. Today is the day. Very good chance we get the reveal of Manchester Orchestra LP 6. Name, cover art, date, possible single.
The fact that they are promoting an encore performance tomorrow at 3 makes me think it will not be up for good right away.
On Facebook they have an event for an encore presentation Saturday at 2:45 EST. Seems weird they would have an encore event if it was just going to be left up.
