Man-Ches-Ter Orch-E-Stra is six syllables, which is two less than eight, which divided by two is FOUR.
let's revitalise this thread by discussing why "I Know How to Speak" is the greatest song ever written
unpop opinion: should have followed 'the grocery' for an ultimate 4 song run and take out 'the parts' k bye
aight I kinda agree, but a) you gotta keep "The Wolf" right where it is - that placement is some god-tier shit, it's all the tension from the past three songs bubbling over into this insane jam, and b) keep "The Parts" and lose "The Mistake"
This is a cool video. That whole tour was just different. You felt like something happened. Everyone hit a stride and gained a ton of confidence and life experience in such short order. If that tour never happened, I truly don’t think we’d be here right now. Ps @Jesse West, Twin Peaks forever.
Yes! I'm in the middle of rewatch with a friend right now. I also 100% agree with the Black Mile-->Twin peaks comparisons that I've seen.
Beyond this, I hope he/they set up a Patreon. Kevin posted about one, which I’d support too. But we’re looking at a significant time with little income.
He also had an insta story saying he should finally compile a b-side anthology, which I would absolutely love. it would be cool if they had the opportunity to put something like that out digitally from their site to make some extra cash.
I think that stuff - on a large scale is pretty far out. Maybe an EP of sorts. He tweeted a few days ago about wanting to do a lyric book, which would sell and be super ‘cheap’ to produce.
I hope bands don’t go the Patreon route. I have a lot of reasons why. I am a fan of bands finding creative ways to create different content, release other material and get involved in fans. I just don’t love the “exclusive” angle. The work a band puts in can still be for profit. I’m not against that in any way. Just don’t want a tier system of fandom. I hope they release Sinful Math or a few bside or cover releases.
A lot of people do a 1 dollar or 5 dollar monthly deal. While I understand, maybe not everyone can spare it. But, to be 100% honest, if it means these people are able to create and live easier - I will pledge $5 for nothing. These artists already give me at least 5 dollars of SOMETHING every month.
